Felix Cheong

Felix is the author of 16 books acrossdifferent genres, including poetry, shortstories, flash fiction and children’s picturebooks. His works have been widelyanthologised, as well as nominated for theprestigious Frank O’Connor Award and theSingapore Literature Prize. More recently,his libretto for opera, At One Time, wasone of three finalists in the New OperaSingapore Open Call for Compositioncompetition. His latest book of poetry,Oddballs, Screwballs and OtherEccentrics, will be published in September.Conferred the Young Artist Award in 2000by the National Arts Council, Felix hasbeen invited to writers’ festivals all over theworld, such as Edinburgh, Austin, Sydney,Christchurch, and Hong Kong. He holds amasters in creative writing and is anassociate lecturer with Murdoch University,University of Newcastle, Curtin University,and the National University of Singapore.
