Justin Hill

Justin Hill is a practicing architect in Singapore, where he has lived for nearly 40 years. He has also been an active participant in theatre in Singapore, and is an accomplished stage designer.

This work sketches a proposal for a series of dedicated cricket ovals to be located adjoining residential facilities for our guest workers in Singapore. With scoreboards, facilities and even mowers, this could become a network of cricket grounds — not for the public, but where guest workers can develop competition among their groups, maintain and improve their ovals and pitches themselves, and have an additional focus on sport, recreation and open-air socialising in times ahead.
