Hyphen Architects is a research and architecture studio whose current obsessions are situated at the intersection of design, technology and socio-politics. 

Here, the workers’ dormitory is reimagined as a self-sufficient commune replacing physical walls as a form of territorial demarcation with the sphere of a WIFI network. This network is at once a separator through its unique SSID and password and a connector to communities and families far and beyond through the mobile phone.

This speculation is part of the studio’s ongoing survey of novel spatial paradigms emerging in our posthuman world.
