The
Wanderings
of a flaneur
Taking a shower as a kid, I liked filling my mouth with water and pretending I was the Merlion by spitting it out and often I wondered why do Lion Heads grow on fishes? Also, why can’t I find them when I go to the market with Mom to her favourite fishmonger.
As I grew up, I wondered why chlorophyll is green and skies are blue on a good day, and what if they switched colours? Will the world be a better place with blue plants and green skies?
Then I became a flaneur and wanted to see what the rest of the world is like and if they wander and wonder like I do all my life like my mother’s sor zai.
